I want a good start this, talking a bit different than is
for many a great creator of modern fantasy: Neil Gaiman.
This guy is world famous for his comic series The Sandman,
but I know him more for the few books he has written
(The comics are still very expensive, and slow down the edonkey).
Books:
Neverwhere "A great story set in London (mainly
in London that he could not find one eye is not dreaming). This story
this, as not full of colorful characters, there are villains and a girl
special (Gate) which needs to be rescued (for the
world does not change to much worse).
Stardust-Afairy tale can be given a twist,
and make it different while retaining aspects of
it very attractive. I mean, only Gaiman can make a fairy saying "Fuck"
not lose its charm. This is the story of a
star fall from heaven and came to life in the form of a cute fairy, and that of
a kid is not too lucid in your search.
Smoke and Mirrors "A very tasty compilation of stories written at the
throughout most of Gaiman's life and creative genius. (And it is this type
has even written erotic stories for Penthouse, and
was fired from a major British newspaper
for refusing to write an article against the gameI role).
Each story is accompanied by a brief introduction of the circumstances in which they were escritos.Me
stick with "The Bridge Troll."
Good Omens-(In collaboration with Terry Pratchett)
A very entertaining story about the apocalypse. If you really had to be a Final
, if so, would not mind it happened a couple of times
. Figures: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,
Agnes Nutter ... and those motorists
Chung to change name every few minutes. Not wasted.
American Gods "This book is about how people take their beliefs
when you change country, and how the Gods representing these beliefs
adapt to the times, to the circumstances.
It's fun to see through the eyes of the Shadow (the protagonist) and interact with these avatars
divine.
AuĂșn Anansi Boys "I have not read, but it seems that the theme is similar
. As always in Gaiman, the personifications of concepts
take shape to go around the world freely. In this case the thing goes
Anansi, the Spider God, and the complicated relationships among its
children. I found it only in English.
Well, you have more things, illustrated books and recently premiered in Sitges
a movie with a script you (Mirrormask).
I was lucky enough to go see it!
I hope it continues to produce igu
